How to take a honey pack

The directions are eight words long. Here is how to use them well.

What the directions say

The whole instruction on the product page is this: "Take one sachet as needed. No preparation required." One sachet is 15 g of honey, about two teaspoons.

"As needed" leaves the timing to you. It does not mean "as many as you like". The directions name one sachet, and they name no daily limit, so one is the number to keep to.

Three ways to take it

You can eat the honey straight from the sachet, and most buyers do. A spoon is tidier at a desk. Warm tea suits you if you find honey too sweet on its own. Skip boiling water: there is no need to cook it.

The first time

Take one sachet on a day when nothing depends on it. Eat something with it if honey on an empty stomach bothers you, and drink water. Then wait a day. A few buyers report an unsettled stomach, and you want to know how you react before you take another.

Stop if you feel unwell. The federal advice quoted here applies to every supplement, this one included.

“If you’re taking a dietary supplement, follow the instructions on the label. If you have side effects, stop taking the supplement and contact your health care provider.”

Keeping the box

The sachets need no fridge. Keep the box closed in a cool, dry cupboard, away from a sunny windowsill or a hot car. Honey thickens when cold, so warm a stiff sachet in your hand for a minute before you tear it.

Question

In one line

How many honey packs can you take in a day?

The directions name 1 sachet "as needed" and give no daily maximum. Keep to one, and ask a doctor before you take more.
